The visiting delegation led by Chairman of the Riigikogu parliamentary group of friendship with Azerbaijan Sven Sester arrived at the Alley of Honour to pay the tribute to the memory of our national leader, the architect and creator of the modern Azerbaijani State Heydar Aliyev on 1 November.

Also, the delegation members went to the Martyrs’ Lane to honour the memory of our shahids who had sacrificed their lives for the freedom and sovereignty of the country. The Estonian visitors adorned the gravesides with fresh flowers.

As they were marvelling at the panorama of Baku seen from the highest point in the city, the Estonian MPs were told of the history of the Martyrs’ Lane and the building work afoot in our capital.

MP Jala Ahmadova of the Milli Majlis working group for the Azerbaijan-Estonia inter-parliamentary connexions kept the Estonian colleagues company.
