Congratulatory letters keep coming at the Milli Majlis from overseas officials, representatives of parliaments and leaders of important international organisations on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Patriotic War Victory.

A letter of congratulations, addressed to Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova, has arrived from Secretary General of the Parliamentary Union of the Member States of the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation Muhammad Khouraichi Niass, too.

‘The Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) has always stood, through its conferences, with Azerbaijan in this dispute, on which the United Nations has adopted several resolutions supporting Azerbaijan’s right and calling on Armenia to withdraw from the Azerbaijan territory. We hail in you the spirit of understanding and keenness on the establishment of peace,’ goes Mr Niass’ letter.

‘We pray to Almighty God to make Azerbaijan enjoy peace and stability so that its people may live in abundance and prosperity,’ Mr Niass wrote in conclusion.
