The one year’s wake of the 44-day Patriotic War’s shahid Turkman Yolchu oglu Mammadov, killed in action on the Fuzuli front, went in Baku with the attendance of MP Arzu Naghiyev, officials of the Sabunchu District Executive Authority, shahid mothers and members of the local community.

Prayers were said for the soul of Turkman; the assembled paid their respects to his memory and to the memories of the other fearless sons of the Motherland.

It should be mentioned that Turkman Mammadov is posthumously decorated with the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘For Liberation of Khojavend’ and ‘For Liberation of Fuzuli’ to the relevant decrees of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic in recognition of his exploits in the name of his country’s territorial integrity and for meritorious discharge of the combat duties assigned to the detachment in which he had served.
