The care of and attention to the families of our shahids who parted with their lives in the name of the independence of Azerbaijan as well as of the combat veterans are setting high standards.

Just like in the other towns and provinces of the country, in Ganja, too, the city administration and MPs get to know the shahid families’ and gazies’ problems and work tirelessly on solving those problems as instructed by President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva.

MP Naghif Hamzayev for Ganja frequents the shahid families as well as the households of the civilians killed by the Armenian missile bombardments of the city. He finds out about their social problems, hears them out about their cares and takes steps to resolve their concerns.

At every meeting and in every conversation, the shahid family members and the Garabagh War veterans say that they, as the citizens of the victorious state, are proud of our Commander-in-Chief. The flag of Azerbaijan streaming over the liberated parts of the country gladdens their souls. In their opinion, the souls of the fallen warriors, too, are glad of Azerbaijan’s resplendent victory and our lands’ riddance of the vile Armenian fascism.

It should be remembered that thousands of Ganja’s brave sons had fought at the Patriotic War and that 104 of them had fallen as shahids. The Armenian troops had fired at the city from missile complex as many as five times; that was on 4, 5, 8, 11 and 17 October. Those bombardments killed 26 and wounded more than 130 Ganjavis.
