Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis/Chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee Adil Aliyev had a meeting with a group of doctors who had taken part in the Patriotic War.

Mr Aliyev was talking about the historic victory that the courageous Army of Azerbaijan had won under the leadership of President and the victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. The victory that had put a stop to the thirty-year enemy occupation is the most glorious page of our history, the Deputy Speaker pointed out. The territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country were restored thanks to the will of the Commander-in-Chief, the support of the nation who had united into one fist around him and the heroism of our brave warriors, according to Adil Aliyev.

He went on to talk about the large-scale restoration and building work started in the liberated territories after the war. Soon enough, our Garabagh will turn into one of the most beautiful corners of the world, he added. He also underlined the immense importance of the festivals held in Shusha, Azerbaijan’s cultural capital, by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the fast launches of the international airport of Fuzuli and of the Victory Road. This creative and fast-paced work will be continued in 2022, Adil Aliyev noted confidently.

Not only the arrangements in the freed lands but also improvement off the social well-being of the population are the priorities of our state, Mr Aliyev said before emphasising the care of the President and the First Vice President of the country about the shahid families and the gazies alike.

Each one of us is focused on the issues related to the shahid families and the gazies even after the end to the war; every favourable condition and opportunity must be made available for the heroes who brought us the victory and members of their families. Having said that, Adil Aliyev thanked the medics for their self-sacrificing services in the Garabagh War.

The attending doctors let  it be known that they had volunteered for the front immediately the Patriotic War had started, had discharged their duties with all their might and would continue doing all they could for the country and the nation.

Then, the Patriotic War veteran doctors were awarded the Certificates of Honour of the Milli Majlis Youth and Sports Committee.
