Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis/chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee Adil Aliyev took part in the wake of the Patriotic War shahid Tajeer Mehdi oglu Ahmadov in Baku’s Binagadi District on 11 December.

The wake went with the head of the Binagadi executive authority Elkhan Allahverdiyev, shahid families, gazies and members of the local public. They said prayers for our shahids’ souls and paid their respects to their memory.

Speaking at the gathering, Vice Speaker Adil Aliyev stressed just how precious to each of us the memory of the Motherland’s sons like Tajeer Ahmadov happens to be. They sacrificed their lives in the name of the Victory and the nation will never forget its heroes, Mr Aliyev went on. It was mentioned that Tajeer Ahmadov had been decorated with the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘For Liberation of Khojavend’ and ‘For Liberation of Fuzuli’ to the relevant presidential decrees in recognition of his courage and heroism at the 44 days’ Patriotic War. Having said that, Mr Aliyev prayed that the Almighty would rest the shahids’ souls merry, grant their families grace and the gazies good health.

The shahid families and gazies taking part in the wake said their thanks to President and the victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyev for the care being taken of them.
