We have said good-bye to the former resident of the village of Zarat in the Siazan Province, Asif Adil oglu Aliyev, killed in action in yet another border provocation of the Armenian troops in the Kalbajar sector on the night of 8 December. He has been interred already.

The wake went with the participation of MP Sadig Gurbanov, the head of the provincial executive authority Novruz Novruzov, officials of the local administration and organisations, the shahid’s relatives, other shahids’ mothers and members of the Siazan public.

It should be mentioned that Asif Aliyev was also a veteran of the 44 days’ Patriotic War. For his courage in battle and the meritorious discharge of the duties set before his detachment he had been decorated with the medal ‘For Liberation of Kalbajar’ to the relevant decree of the president of the Azerbaijan Republic.
