Head of Great Britain-Azerbaijan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Bob Blackman Gives a Press Conference
The leader of the Great Britain-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group MP Bob Blackman who is visiting in our country held a press conference on 11 November.
MP Blackman mentioned the visits to Shusha and Fuzuli during his current voyage to Azerbaijan. Following the path of victory, the British delegation could see how the populated localities of Azerbaijan had been destroyed and, at the same time, acquainted themselves with the restoration work furthered by the Azerbaijani Government, according to MP Blackman. In Shusha, the visitors witnessed the fruit of the work done there speedily to bring the town’s glory back to it. They believe that Azerbaijan will restore the glory of Shusha soon enough, according to MP Blackman.
The British legislator underlined Azerbaijan’s respectful attitude towards Christian temples before saying that the Azerbaijani Army had limited its fire to military targets only and did everything to avoid damaging civic facilities during the war. MP Blackman told the press of his hope that the liberation of Garabagh will revive peace in the region.
The leader of the Great Britain-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the 30th anniversary of national independence and the Victory Day, and expressed a hope that the Azerbaijani-British relations would grow stronger and continue expanding.
