Chair of the Milli Majlis Culture Committee and member of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan inter-parliamentary connexions working group Ganira Pashayeva met with the ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Serjan Abdikarimov on 15 December.

Ganira Pashayeva greeted the guest and congratulated him on the thirtieth anniversary of the state independence of Kazakhstan. She then talked about the special impulse that the friendship of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Kazakhstan’s First President Nursultan Nazarbayev had given the present-day fraternal ties between our countries. Ganira Pashayeva also talked about the successful pursuit of the same line by the present heads of the two states.

President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan attaches a great importance to developing the bilateral co-operation, said Mrs Pashayeva before referring to the growth prospects of the Azerbaijani-Kazakh inter-parliamentary connexions.

The satisfaction with the standards set by those bonds at present and with the work done by the two legislatures’ parliamentary friendship group was expressed in the course of the conversation.

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan continue the ever-strengthening interaction upon various platforms and in different areas, according to Mrs Pashayeva who outlined the relevant significant undertakings and projects.

Ambassador Serjan Abdikarimov said his congratulations on Azerbaijan’s victory in the 44-day Patriotic War. The Kazakh diplomat stressed that the arrangements achieved since only confirmed once again that Azerbaijan was in the right. He also talked about resumption of communications in the region, the work done towards creating the Zangazur Corridor and the restoration of the Azerbaijani lands delivered from the invaders’ hold.

Besides, Mrs Pashayeva and Mr Abdikarimov exchanged opinions about promoting humanitarian ties (including the literary ones), boosting the co-operation in tourism, the pertaining projects and other topics of shared interest.
