Commemoration of the Shahid Tahir Garibali oglu Alizade in Bilasuvar
The commemoration of the Patriotic War shahid, Warrant Officer Tahir Garibali oglu Alizade took place in Bilasuvar with the attendance by MP Bahrouz Maharramov, the head of the Bilasuvar Administration Faig Gurbatov, the chiefs of the provincial law enforcement authorities and members of the local public.
They talked about the glorious combat path of the fallen hero and about the memory of the shahids, the glory and pride of the nation, being destined to live forever. It was said also that the State would always be right by the side of the families of the warriors who had laid down their lives for their Motherland.
The ceremony participants inaugurated the memorial plaque on the house in which Tahir had lived. Bahrouz Maharramov and the provincial administration seniors visited the shahid’s home and met his parents.
It must be said that the former resident of the town of Bilasuvar Tahir Alizade had fought heroically in the 44-day war’s battles for Jabrayil, Fuzuli, Gubadli and Shusha. He was wounded in the operation to free Hadrut but returned to the front after treatment. Warrant Officer Tahir Alizade succeeded in his difficult mission in the engagement for Shusha that he had to carry out in a woodland area. He was badly wounded as he was rescuing his injured comrades in the last action and was taken to hospital. Alas, despite all the efforts made by the doctors, he rose to the Shahidism in the end; his body was interred in his hometown of Bilasuvar later on.
For the meritorious discharge of the missions assigned to the detachment in which he served in the course of the combat for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, Warrant Officer Tahir Alizade was decorated with the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘For Distinction in Battle’ and ‘For Liberation of Fuzuli’ posthumously pursuant to the relevant decrees of the Head of State Ilham Aliyev.
May the Lord rest our shahids’ souls in peace!
