Speaker of Montenegrin Parliament Visits Great Leader’s Grave, Alley of Martyrs

Chairman of the Montenegrin parliament Aleksa Bečić and his delegation, currently visiting in our country, went to the Alley of Honour, put wreaths and fresh flowers at the graveside of Heydar Aliyev and paid their respects to the memory of the Great Leader on 17 January.

Also, accompanied by Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis Adil Aliyev and the head of the working group for inter-parliamentary relations with Montenegro Igbal Mammadov, the guests visited the Martyrs’ Lane to honour the memory of the heroes who had sacrificed their lives for the freedom and sovereignty of our country. The Montenegrins adorned the shahids’ tombstones with fresh flowers and installed a wreath at the Eternal Flame Memorial.

Then, as they were admiring the views of Baku from its highest point, the guests were told of the Martyrs’ Lane’s history and the amenity work going on around the capital city of Azerbaijan.
