MP Mushfig Mammadli Attends Inauguration a Bas-Relief of Shahids

MP Mushfig Mammadli joined the inauguration of a bas-relief of the Patriotic War shahids Captain Ulvi Huseynov and Lieutenant Ulvi Maharramov in Sumgait on 15 January. 

The law-maker spoke at the happening. The names of the courageous sons of the Motherland fallen at the Patriotic War that had culminated in the splendid victory under the leadership of President and Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev would forever live in the heart of every citizen; the people of Azerbaijan would forever appreciate the bravery of their warriors and treasure the memory of the shahids, MP Mammadli was saying. As for the shahid families, they are constantly held in the centre of the state care, he added. 

The fallen officers’ relatives thanked the gathering attendants for their attention and respect for the memory of their sons. They also expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the care of the shahid families, gazies and war veterans. 

The ceremony went with the participation of the city administration officials and members of the local public. 

For the information of our readers, Ulvi Huseynov was born in the village of Sabir of the Ordubad Province on 16 April 1988. He had fought bravely in the battle of Shusha in which he met his death at a sniper’s bullet on 7 November. Captain Ulvi Huseynov is decorated with the medals ‘For Liberation of Shusha’, ‘For the Motherland’ and ‘For Liberation of Fuzuli’ posthumously, pursuant to the relevant decrees of the president of the republic. 

Ulvi Maharramov was born in Sumgait on 5 July 1997; he was of the Gubadli Provincial background. Maharramov had studied at the Heydar Aliyev Higher Military Academy during 2014-2018, and was single. Lieutenant Maharramov had fought fearlessly in the engagements for Khojavend and Fuzuli and was killed in action in the latter on 14 October. Lieutenant Ulvi Maharramov is decorated posthumously with the medals ‘For Liberation of Khojavend’, ‘For Liberation of Shusha’ and ‘For the Motherland’ to the decrees of the president of Azerbaijan.
