Our MPs to Monitor Presidential Election in Kyrgyzstan

Members of the Milli Majlis are going to the Kyrgyz capital city of Bishkek on 8 January to monitor the forthcoming extraordinary presidential election in Kyrgyzstan.

MP Sabir Hajiyev will be observing the election under the aegis of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of the Independent States and MP Fazil Mustafa will be watching the vote as a member of the TurkPA Monitoring Mission.

The Azerbaijani MPs will obtain first-hand knowledge of the arrangements at the local electoral ballot-stations and will also watch constituent activity.

Their visit to Kyrgyzstan ends on 13 January.

The MPs are elected as based on the majority electoral system by free, private and confidential vote reliant on the general, equitable and immediate suffrage. The tenure of a Milli Majlis convocation is 5 years.
