A Videoconference ‘Azerbaijan’s Historic Victory’ is Held

The Milli Majlis Committee for Regional Affairs and the National Association of Urban, Settlement and Village Municipalities of Azerbaijan co-organised and held together a videoconference ‘Azerbaijan’s Historic Victory’ on 28 October to mark the anniversary of the military triumph achieved under the leadership of President, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.

The members of the parliamentary committee, the seniors and delegates of the National Association of Municipalities and chairs of 61 urban, settlement and village municipalities took part in the event.

The chairman of the above-said committee Siyavush Novruzov spared a few heartfelt words for our shahids and expressed his deepest respect for the gazies and all the veterans of the Patriotic War. He added that President, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev continued successfully the cause of the creator of the strong Azerbaijani State – the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. The restoration of the national territorial integrity consequent to the 44-day Patriotic War, the large-scale building work afoot in the de-occupied provinces and the implementation of remarkable projects were all the highlights of our history, Mr Novruzov continued.

According to Siyavush Novruzov, the historic victory had come as a triumph of the policy pursued by Ilham Aliyev who possesses the splendid academic knowledge, brilliant experience and unique competence.

Then, there were the in-depth thematic presentations by Academician Nizami Jafarov and MP Aghil Mammadov (both are members of the Regional Affairs Committee).

Further, the executive secretary of the National Association of Urban Municipalities Tofig Hasanov, the chairman of the Nizami Municipality of Ganja City Goshgar Mammadov, the chairman of the Barda Municipality Sadig Khalilov, a member of the Sumgait Municipality and a Patriotic War veteran Orkhan Adighezalzade, the deputy chairwoman of the Kapaz Municipality of Ganja Rufana Aliyeva and the deputy chairman of the Nizami Municipality Heydar Rahimov talked about the input of the Azerbaijani municipalities to the 44 days’ war, their members and employees having fought in it and, in general, about their services rendered to the Motherland.
