The Shahid Colonel Lieutenant Atem Aliyev is Commemorated in Agdash

The commemoration of the Patriotic War shahid Colonel Lieutenant Atem Vaghif oglu Aliyev took place in the town of Agdash with MP Javid Osmanov, shahid families’ members, Atem Aliyev’s brothers-in-arms, gazies and members of the provincial public in attendance.

Prayers were said for the soul of the shahid fallen for the wholeness of his country. His combat path was talked of. Memories connected to him were exchanged.

MP Osmanov shared in the grief of the warrior’s family and took interest in their concerns and issues.

Colonel Atem Aliyev was born in the village of Abad of the Agdash Province in 1982. He studied at the Jamshid Nakhchivansky Military Lyceum in 1996-2000 and at the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Higher Military Academy in 2000-2004. The warrior was killed in action on the Murovdag front on 2 October. His body, found after a long search, was committed to his native soil in the same village of Abad on 25 January 2021.

Colonel Lieutenant Atem Vaghif oglu Aliyev is decorated posthumously with the Flag of Azerbaijan Order and the medals ‘For the Motherland’ and ‘For Liberation of Kalbajar’ to the orders of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev.

Atem Aliyev left behind a son and a daughter.
