MP Musa Gasimli together with First Deputy Head of the Yardimli Province Executive Administration Azer Khamiyev called on the parents of the Patriotic War shahids in the province: of Shamil Afig oglu Mirzayev in the town of Yardimli, of Sirus Hamil oglu Shirbeyli and Sadig Tahir oglu Feyziyev in the province’s village of Zevin and of Elshan Nazim oglu Sultanli in the Teshkan village.

The glorious victory of the Azerbaijani Army, the paths of combat of the shahids fallen for that victory and their courage in the battles for the native land were talked of during the visits.

MP Gasimli queried the shahid families about their cares; he thanked them for having raised such sons and said to them the words that came from the bottom of his heart.

Private Shamil Mirzayev, DOB 1996, fell whilst discharging his war duties on the Shusha front on 8 November. He was decorated with the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘For Liberation of Fuzuli’, ‘For Liberation of Khojavend’ and ‘For Liberation of Shusha’ posthumously to the decrees of President Ilham Aliyev.

The Special Designation Force serviceman Sirus Shirbeyli was killed in action during the liberation of Shusha on 7 November. He was decorated with the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘For Liberation of Khojavend’ and ‘For Liberation of Shusha’ posthumously to the decrees of President Ilham Aliyev.

Warrant Officer Sadig Feyziyev, DOB 1996, had been a military serviceman since 2013 and had taken part in the April 2016 Engagement. He had been awarded the jubilee medal ‘The Centenary (1918-2018) of the Azerbaijani Army’ for his service. Warrant Officer Feyziyev fell on the Patriotic War’s Agdere Front on 29 September. He was decorated with the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘Valiant Warrior’ and ‘For Liberation of Sugovushan’ posthumously to the decrees of President Ilham Aliyev.

Private Elshan Sultanli, DOB 2001, was killed in action on the Terter-Agdere front on 16 October. He was decorated with the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘Valiant Warrior’ and ‘For Liberation of Sugovushan’ posthumously to the decrees of President Ilham Aliyev.
