The wake of the shahid brothers Bahram and Iman Mammadzade went in the Bina settlement of Baku’s Khazar District with Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis/chairman of the parliamentary Youth and Sports Committee Adil Aliyev, the MPs Rauf Aliyev and Igbal Mammadov, the head of the district executive authority Elshan Salahov, shahid families and gazies in attendance.

Vice Speaker Aliyev stressed as he spoke at the gathering that the brothers who had fallen in battle had given up their lives, the most precious thing they had had, in the name of the territorial integrity of the country and releasing our lands from under the enemy’s heel. The adamant Azerbaijani Army led by the president and victorious commander-in-chief Ilham Aliyev had had in its ranks the warriors who had become shahids and shown the examples of unheard-of heroism on the battlefield. They are the most instructive example to our youth, in the opinion of Mr Aliyev.

Incidentally, the shahids Bahram Elman oglu Mammadzade and Iman Elman oglu Mammadzade were decorated with the medals ‘For the Motherland’ posthumously to the decrees of the president of the country in recognition of their engagement in the struggle for restoration of the territorial integrity of the Azerbaijan Republic and for the meritorious discharge of the duties that had been set to the detachments in which they had served.

May the Lord rest merry the souls of all our shahids. The precious memory of them will live in our hearts forever.
