The wake of the Patriotic War Hero the shahid Elyar Arif oglu Valiyev went in the Gobustan Province with MP Shahin Seyidzade, the head of the provincial executive authority Adil Mammadov, the chiefs of the Gobustan state departments and companies as well as the local community members in attendance.

The shahid’s family and fellow-warriors as well as the local elders and members of the provincial public referred to his life and combat paths, reminisced about him and stressed the importance of studying the Patriotic War shahids’ legacy for educating our youth in the patriotic spirit. Prayers were sent up for the souls of the brave ones fallen for the territorial wholeness of Azerbaijan.

Warrant Officer Elyar Valiyev had been taking part in the combat for liberation of Fuzuli, Jabrayil and Gubadli. He died a hero’s death on 19 October 2020.

Elyar Valiyev is made the Patriotic War Hero and awarded the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘For Liberation of Jabrayil’, ‘For Liberation of Fuzuli’ and ‘For Liberation of Khojavend’ after his death to the decrees of the president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
