Deputy Chair of Milli Majlis Adil Aliyev Joins Commemoration of the Shahid Ali Heydarov in Pirshaghi
The commemoration of the Patriotic War shahid Ali Heydarov went with the participation of Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis/chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee Adil Aliyev, shahid families, gazies and the local public in the settlement of Pirshaghi on 9 February.
First, they had a minute of silence in memoriam Ali Heydarov. The national anthem of the Azerbaijan Republic was sounded, too. Then, the people assembled for the occasion talked about the fallen warrior’s path of combat and shared their memories of him.
Adil Aliyev talked about the heroic death of Ali Heydarov at the 44 days’ Patriotic War in the ranks of the adamant Azerbaijani Army led by President, Commander-in-Chief Mr Ilham Aliyev. It is thanks to the self-sacrifice and courage of such warriors that the truly native territories of our Motherland had been delivered from the enemy captivity and the Patriotic War went down to be the glorious page in the national history annals. With its brilliant victory, Azerbaijan had restored its territorial integrity and shown its strength to the whole world, Adil Aliyev continued.
The vice speaker also touched on the extensive restoration under way since the end of the Patriotic War as our Garabagh had a new lease of life. The shahid families and the gazies are embraced with the care of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva unfailingly. It is the duty of each of us to cherish the shahids’ memory and commemorate them with veneration, according to Mr Aliyev.
As the event drew to a close, the shahid Ali Heydarov’s mother and the families of the other shahids thanked President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for their caring attitude.
The medals ‘For Valour’, ‘For the Motherland’ and ‘For Liberation of Fuzuli’ were conferred on the shahid Ali Heydarov for his courage following the decrees of the president of the republic.
