MP Rauf Aliyev joined the commemoration of the Patriotic War shahid Amrah Shahin oglu Akbarov in the Khazar District of Baku on 19 October.

The head of the district executive authority Elshan Salahov, the local public and the mothers of the 44-day War’s shahids said there that they were proud of the heroes, the sons of Azerbaijan who had conquered the summit of Shahidism.

Also, they talked about the war path of Amrah Akbarov, his valour in combat and the military duty as well as the missions set before his detachment that he had discharged with flying colours. The State, in high appreciation of the military merits of the shahid, decorated Amrah Akbarov with the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘The Military Merit’, ‘For Liberation of Jabrayil’ and ‘For Liberation of Khojavend’.

MP Aliyev thanked the parents of all the shahids for having given the Motherland such outstanding sons before asking the Almighty to rest the soul of Amrah Shahin oglu Akbarov merry and grant endurance to his family and friends. The posthumous awarding of four medals to Amrah Akbarov who had shown exemplary valour and heroism in battle demonstrates the state care of those who discharge their duty to their country worthily – and the token of the esteem for them, too, in the opinion of MP Aliyev. The shahid families are invariably in the focus of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, the law-maker added.

The shahid families who had joined the proceedings expressed their gratitude to the Head of State for taking a good care of them.
