Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China Li Zhanshu has addressed a congratulatory letter to Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.

In his letter, the SC NPC Chairman provides his commentary about the inception assembly of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement held in Madrid on 28 November last year and emphasises the successful conduct as well as the fruitful culmination of that rally. Li Zhanshu also praises the endeavours of the Milli Majlis and its Chair Sahiba Gafarova in the field of broadening the co-operation amongst the legislatures of the NAM Member States.

Li Zhanshu witnesses the PRC’ support for Azerbaijan in the context of the forthcoming activities of the PN NAM as well as the readiness of the People’s Republic to build close close-knit co-operation with the parliaments of the Network’s Participating States. Furthermore, the letter from the leader of the NPC emphasises the importance of those states’ acting jointly under the aegis of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement to promote multiculturalism and strengthen peace around the world.
