The commemoration of yet another shahid of the 44 days’ Patriotic War – Ilham Umud oglu Huseynov – went in the Garayazi village of the Gioychay Province with MP Sabir Hajiyev, the head of the provincial executive authority Mehdi Salimzade, the fallen warrior’s relatives, other shahids’ families and members of the public in attendance.

They went to the gravestone of Ilham Huseynov, said prayers for his soul and paid respect to his memory and to the memories of our other sons fallen for the Motherland.

The medal ‘For the Motherland’ was bestowed upon Private Ilham Huseynov posthumously to the relevant decree of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic in recognition for his engagement in the battles for the territorial wholeness of our country and the meritorious discharge of the combat missions set before the detachment in which he had served.

The commemoration of yet another hero of ours, the 44-day Patriotic War’s fallen Elnur Arastun oglu Aliyev took place in the Martyrs’ Lane of the same Gioychay Province with the participation of MP Sabir Hajiyev, the head of the provincial executive authority Mehdi Salimzade, the fallen fighter’s relatives, other shahids’ families and members of the public.

Prayers were said for Elnur Aliyev’s soul and respects were paid to his memory over his tombstone.

Junior Sergeant Elnur Aliyev was awarded the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘Valiant Warrior’, ‘For Liberation of Jabrayil’, ‘For Liberation of Fuzuli’ and ‘For Liberation of Kalbajar’ posthumously to the decrees of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic for his input in the battles for restoration of the territorial integrity of the country as well as in recognition of his courage and valour.
