Shahids’ Wakes in Imishli Province
Shahids’ wakes took place in the Imishli Province and were attended by MP Razi Nurullayev, the head of the provincial administration Elchin Rzayev, the shahid families, gazies and the local public.
The shahid Shahali Aflatun oglu Shikhiyev was commemorated in the village of Garagashli. Those assembled there went to his graveside in the local Martyrs’ Alley, said prayers for his soul and paid homage to the memory of all our shahids.
The shahid Shahali Aflatun oglu Shikhiyev was decorated with the medal ‘For the Motherland’ posthumously to the relevant decree of President Ilham Aliyev in recognition of his services in the struggle for maintaining the territorial wholeness of the Azerbaijan Republic.

The participants of the wake of Anar Tahir oglu Javadzade in the village of Telishli visited his graveside, said prayers for his soul and commemorated the warrior.
The shahid Anar Javadzade was awarded the medals ‘For the Motherland’ and ‘For Liberation of Khojavend’ posthumously to the decrees of the president of the country for his engagement in the battles for the territorial integrity of the Azerbaijan Republic and the dignified discharge of the combat missions that had been set before the unit in which he had served.

The wake of the shahid Vusal Mardan oglu Shahmarli took place in the Sarikhanli village in the same province of Imishli. The participants of the event went to the shahid’s grave in the provincial Martyrs’ Lane, read prayers for his soul and paid their respects to his memory as well as to those of all the unforgettable warriors who had fought and fallen for their Motherland.
The medals ‘For the Motherland’ and ‘For Liberation of Fuzuli’ were bestowed on the shahid Vusal Mardan oglu Shahmarli posthumously to the decrees of the president of Azerbaijan in view of his participation in the fight to make the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic intact and for the distinguished discharge of the combat missions that the detachment in which he had served had been charged with.
