Also, the Tajik delegation put flowers on the gravestone of the prominent ophthalmic researcher Academician Zarifa Aliyeva and paid their respects to her memory.

Next, the parliamentarians from Tajikistan moved to the Martyrs’ Lane in order to pay homage in memoriam the heroic sons of the Motherland who put their lives on the altar of her freedom and sovereignty. The fallen warriors’ tombstones were adorned with fresh flowers; a wreath was installed before the Eternal Flame Memorial, too.

As the guests were enjoying the cityscape sprawling before their eyes, they were told about the history of the Martyrs’ Lane and about the amenity and building work going on around Baku.
It should be mentioned that the Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis Adil Aliyev and the leader of the Azerbaijan-Tajikistan inter-parliamentary connexions working group Aydin Mirzazade kept the Tajik fellows company.
