The Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation with Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova at the head went to the Heydar Aliyev Culture Centre in that country on 2 April.

Sahiba Gafarova placed a wreath at the monument of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in front of the Centre building while the delegation members adorned the statue with flower bunches. The Centre’s administrator Samir Abbasov told them that the Heydar Aliyev Culture Centre had been opened during the visit of President Ilham Aliyev of the Azerbaijan Republic to Tashkent in 2010.

The Centre situated in Heydar Aliyev Street in the central district of Mirabad of the Uzbek capital has the Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijani Statehood History and Azerbaijani-Uzbek Friendship museums.

The Milli Majlis delegation members were shown the museum materials pertaining to various periods in the life and work of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and viewed the photos of his encounters with other state leaders. Besides, they were supplied with various luminaries’ recollections about Heydar Aliyev and about different stages of the history of our republic. They also looked at the relevant historical documents, were informed about other prominent persons and saw the exhibits telling of the ancient historical and cultural bonds between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan as well as the two countries’ present-day evolving relations.
