The parliamentary delegation of Azerbaijan led by Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova went to the Presidential School of Toshkent on 2 April as part of their current official visit to Uzbekistan.

They were told on arrival that the school met the latest standards and used advanced educational technologies. Sahiba Gafarova gave the school a memorable gift and donated books to it.

Our delegation also travelled to the Hazrati Imam Mosque, to be told that the architecture of the temple erected in 2007 was rich in the national Uzbek elements ingrained in it.

Besides, the delegation of the Milli Majlis visited the Mui-Mubarak Madrasa built in the 16th century and the library of the Uzbekistan Muslim Department. That library has in stock the Qur’an and other unique Oriental handwritten scrolls dating back to the 7th century A.D.
