An Encounter at the Milli Majlis
The chairman of the Milli Majlis International and Inter-Parliamentary Relations Committee Samad Seyidov met on 18 April the visiting delegation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Samad Seyidov greeted the guests and then talked about the new realia installed in the region, the importance of maintaining sustainable peace and arranging co-operation in this part of the world and about also the restoration and rebuilding work afoot in the liberated Azerbaijani territories.
The attending MPs Nigyar Arpadarai and Erkin Gadirli, in turn, told of the aftermath of the thirty years of the Armenian occupation of Azerbaijan’s land. They also commented on the efforts being made to eliminate the aftermath, the progress of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia and various prospects.
The guests – Baron Malcolm Grey Bruce, Lord Donald Robin Alers Hankey and Julian Faultless – underlined the importance of bringing durable peace and co-operation to the region and shared their thoughts about the advancing relationship between Azerbaijan and the UK.
Other matters of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting then.
