A TurkPA Women Parliamentarians’ Group Meeting at Milli Majlis

The deputy chair of the Milli Majlis Labour and Social Policy Committee and member of the TurkPA Women Parliamentarians’ Group Malahat Ibrahimghizi and MP Sadagat Valiyeva, a WPG member, met with the member of the Mazhilis of the Kazakh Parliament and the TurkPA WPG head Lazzat Ramazanova.

Sadagat Valiyeva greeted the guest warmly before addressing the unity of all the Turkic states due to their historical, cultural and moral unity, the roles of the Turkic States’ women in family and politics and Azerbaijan’s victory in the 44-day Patriotic War.

Malahat Ibrahimghizi broached the engagement of women in all the Turkic-speaking countries in public life and state affairs as well as the work being done in the realm of gender equality and provision of equal opportunities. MP Ibrahimghizi also shared her thoughts about the TurkPA states’ women parliamentarians’ contributions to all those processes.

The WPG head and member of the Kazakh Parliament’s Mazhilis Lazzat Ramazanova, in turn, mentioned the importance of such meetings as the one held today for building the eventual work of the Group. Mrs Ramazanova then talked about the date of the first WPG meeting and the pertaining organisational matters and about also the activities of the Committee of Businesswomen.

A member of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Dinar Nukitayeva and other officials were taking part in the meeting as well.
