MP Parvin Karimzade Joins Shahids’ Wakes in Ganja
MP Parvin Karimzade attended the wakes of the 44-day Patriotic War shahids in Ganja – Senior Lieutenant Elshan Sabir oglu Abdullayev, Lieutenant Gazanfar Habil oglu Mammadov and Private Rashad Ilgar oglu Alakbarov. She expressed her condolences to the members of their families whilst taking part in the ceremonies alongside city administration officials, local public and other shahids’ families.
Pursuant to the decrees of President Ilham Aliyev of the Azerbaijan Republic, Elshan Abdullayev was decorated with the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘For Distinction in Battle’, ‘For Liberation of Shusha’ and ‘For Liberation of Kalbajar’ posthumously. The posthumous decorations of Gazanfar Mammadov are the Order of Courage, 3rd degree, and the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘For Liberation of Fuzuli’ and ‘For Liberation of Shusha’. Rashad Alakbarov received, posthumously, the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘Valiant Warrior’ and ‘For Liberation of Shusha’.

The first-year wakes of the heroes fallen for the Motherland – Taleh Ganimat oglu Mustafazade and Nurhan Alastan oglu Abbasov – went in Ganja with MP Parvin Karimzade, executives of the NAP Ganja Branch Organisation, party activists and townsfolk in attendance.
First, they went to the gravesides of the courageous sons of the Motherland to adorn them with flowers and to say prayers for their souls. It was said that the nation would never forget the warriors who, through their unique self-sacrifices, had brought it the historic Victory. The shahid family members thanked President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the care taken of them.
Pursuant to the decrees of President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, Taleh Mustafazade was awarded the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘Valiant Warrior’ and ‘For Liberation of Shusha’ posthumously and Nurhan Abbasov decorated, also posthumously, with the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘Valiant Warrior’ and ‘For Liberation of Shusha’.
