A delegation led by Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Raja Pervaiz Ashraf have arrived in Azerbaijan on 16 May with a view to taking part in the Third General Conference of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Economic Co-operation Organisation.

The welcoming party for the inbound Pakistani delegation at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport included the Azerbaijan-Pakistan inter-parliamentary connexions working group: the chairman of the Milli Majlis Economic Policy, Industries and Enterprising Committee Tahir Mirkishili and MP Mahir Abbaszade as well as the ambassador of Pakistan to Azerbaijan Bilal Hayee.

The delegation of Pakistan will be visiting in Azerbaijan until 19 May.
