The participants of the Third General Conference of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Economic Co-operation Organisation (PAECO) went to the Alley of Honour to remember with esteem the architect and builder of the modern and independent Azerbaijani State, our National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

They put a wreath at Heydar Aliyev’s tombstone.

Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova and members of our delegation to the Organisation, the chairman of the parliamentary committee for economic policy, industries and enterprising Tahir Mirkishili and the MPs Elnur Allahverdiyev, Iltizam Yusifov and Konul Nurullayeva as well as other officials accompanied the visitors.

Next, the guests to the country arrived at the Martyrs’ Lane, at the gravestones of the heroic sons of the Motherland who had sacrificed their lives for her independence and territorial wholeness. A wreath was installed in front of the Eternal Flame Memorial.

They admired the cityscape sprawling before them as seen from the highest elevation of the Azerbaijani capital as they were told of the history of the Lane and about the amenity and construction work going on around Baku.

Also, the participants of the PAECO Third General Conference honoured the monument to the Turkish Martyrs and put a wreath at it and paid their deepest respects to the memory of these fallen warriors as well.
