The visiting members of the Canada-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group of the House of Commons of Canada went to the Martyr’s Lane. They put flowers on the gravestones of the heroic sons of the Motherland who had died for her independence and territorial wholeness, and visited the Eternal Flame Memorial, too, on 23 May.

As the Canadian MPs were enjoying the cityscape from the highest point of Baku, they were told of the history of the Martyrs’ Lane and the amenity and construction work going on around the capital city of Azerbaijan.

The leader of the Azerbaijan-Canada inter-parliamentary connexions working group Tural Ganjaliyev and the chairman of the board of the Network of Azerbaijani Canadians (NAC) Anar Jahanghirli accompanied the Canadians.
