Shahids Commemorated in Zardab
Major Rahim Gadir oglu Huseynov of the Gelme village of Zardab Province is one of our heroes whose graveside in the 2nd Alley of Honour in Baku was visited ahead of the V-Day by the deputy chair of the Milli Majlis family, women’s and children’s affairs committee Jala Aliyeva, members of the fallen warrior’s family, government officials and members of the public.
The head of the provincial administration Mardan Jamalov joined them at the wake in Zardab. It was remembered there that Rahim Huseynov had been a military man spiritually and that he had graduated from the Jamshid Nakhchivansky Military Lyceum and the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Higher Military Academy. Major Huseynov had been introduced to the NATO and had discharged many a mission imposed on him with flying colours. He had been commander of the Operational Capabilities Concept tabor.
Major Huseynov who had fought in the Patriotic War battles of Jabrayil, Fuzuli and Gubadli heroically was decorated with the Garabagh Order and the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘For Liberation of Gubadli’ and ‘For Liberation of Jabrayil’ posthumously.

The aforementioned Jala Aliyeva also called on the family of Warrant Officer Turan Muradov in his native village of Korpukend in the same province. She enquired after their cares and paid them her respect for having reared such a son. The fallen warrior’s graveside was visited; he was remembered with esteem.
Turan Muradov had fought valiantly on the Garabagh War II forefront, having taken part in the recovery of several strategic elevations and purging of the occupiers of Sugovushan, Talish and several other villages; he was killed in action there.
Warrant Officer Muradov was decorated with the medals ‘For the Motherland’, ‘For Liberation of Sugovushan’ and ‘Valiant Warrior’ posthumously.
Jala Aliyeva said at the ceremony that the families and children of the courageous sons of the Motherland like Major Rahim Huseynov and Warrant Officer Turan Muradov would forever be in the embrace of the state care and attention.
