A Plan of Activities to Develop Inter-Parliamentary Co-operation is Inked between Milli Majlis of Republic of Azerbaijan and Senate of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan

A plan of practical activities (a ‘road map’) to develop inter-parliamentary co-operation during the years 2024-2025 has been signed between the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova signed the document for the Azerbaijani side; for the Uzbek side, Speaker of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva attached her signature.

The Milli Mejlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan categorically protests against the resolution levelled at our country which the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Netherlands adopted on 23 May 2024, and condemns that move as a racist, Azerbaijanophobic, Turkophobic and Islamophobic political act. The claims made against our country in the resolution are partly based on distorted facts and partly on lies and fabricated information.

Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has held several meetings as art of her working visit to Antigua and Barbuda. Azerbaijan’s relations with the respective states were discussed with Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Ralph Gonsalves, Vice President of the Republic of Cuba Salvador Antonio Valdés Mesa as well as with Speaker of the House of Representatives of Antigua and Barbuda Sir Gerald Watt and Speaker of the Senate of Antigua and Barbuda Alincia Williams-Grant.
