Azerbaijani, Chilean Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Groups Met
The inter-parliamentary friendship groups of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan and the Senate of Chile had a video link-up on 23 June, with the Azerbaijani side represented by the Leader of the Working Group for the inter-parliamentary connexions with Chile Azer Badamov, a group member Igbal Mammadov, our ambassador to Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia Rashad Aslanov, and other officials.

The International Forum of Inter-Parliamentary Global Co-operation in the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals began in Bukhara on 23 June. It is organised by the Senate of Uzbekistan’s Oliy Majlis in partnership with the UN.
At the PABSEC General Assembly
The 57th plenary session of the General Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Co-operation (PABSEC) was held in an online format on 22 June. PABSEC Deputy Chairman and leader of the Azerbaijani delegation to the organisation Eldar Guliyev as well as delegation members Eldar Ibrahimov, Musa Guliyev and Ramin Mammadov represented the Milli Majlis at the session.

Speaker Sahiba Gafarova chaired another sitting of the extraordinary parliamentary session on 22 June. Speaking at the meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee for Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology on 18 June, Committee Chairman Sadig Gurbanov announced the first-reading Bill ‘On the Rational Use of Energy Resources and Energy Efficiency’ had been put on the agenda. The document had arrived at the Milli Majlis by way of the legislative initiative of the President of the Republic, it was said.
To the PACE Summer Session
Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee for International Relations and Interparliamentary Connexions and head of delegation Samad Seyidov will lead the Azerbaijani MPs Sevinj Fataliyeva, Rafael Huseynov, Nigyar Arpadarai, Kamal Jafarov and Erkin Gadirli during their visit in Strasbourg on 19-26 June for the summer session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

At the 15th Meeting of Inter-Parliamentary Commission
The Azerbaijani MPs Agalar Valiyev, Nizami Safarov, Mikhail Zabelin, Elnur Allahverdiyev and Sevinj Huseynova, to be led by First Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis and chairman of the Law Policy and State-Building Committee Ali Huseynli, will be in the Russian capital of Moscow on 15-17 June. The purpose of the trip is to take part in the 15th meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission for co-operation between Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis and Russia’s Federal Assembly.
