First Draft of New Political Parties Bill to Come Up for Public Hearing
As we have reported, a new draft law on political parties is in the pipeline at the parliament to the orders of Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova. As many as 39 state-registered political parties have submitted their relevant suggestions to the Milli Majlis already. The drafting of the new Bill goes on with the study of the relevant experience of more than 20 countries and the Venice Commission’s 2010 and 2020 recommendations concerning regulation of political parties’ activities.

Ten Parties More Send Suggestions about the New Political Parties Law to Milli Majlis
As reported previously, representatives of all the parliamentary political parties had appealed to the Chair of the Milli Majlis for a new Political Parties Law to meet the modern national development realities and the demands of the time. This future law of considerable social significance is in the making currently as instructed by Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
