There was a meeting at the Milli Majlis on 10 June with the diplomats of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan studying at the ADA (Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy) University.
Azerbaijani-Ukrainian Co-operation Prospects Discussed at a Tour-de-Table
There was a round-table session ‘Ukraine-Azerbaijan: The Co-operation Prospects’ held as in the videoconferencing format on 10 June. Among the participants were the Leader of the Working Group for the interparliamentary connexions Azerbaijan-Ukraine Rufat Guliyev, officials of the Azerbaijan Republic State Committee for the Diaspora, members of the Friendship Group for Azerbaijan in Ukraine’s Supreme Rada, members of the Azerbaijani Diaspora in Azerbaijan, public figures and representatives of academic circles.
A Symposium Held at Ataturk Centre in Azerbaijan
A symposium dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence of the Turkic states, the great victory of Azerbaijan in the Second Garabagh War and the 100th anniversary of the Great National Assembly of Turkey was held in Baku on 9 June. The event titled ‘The Turkic World’s Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow’ had been arranged together by the TURKPA, the Milli Majlis and the Ataturk Centre in Azerbaijan.
At the Meeting of the Azerbaijani, Latvian Interparliamentary Friendship Groups
The interparliamentary friendship groups of Azerbaijan and Latvia met at the Milli Majlis on 8 June. The leader of the Milli Majlis Working Group for interparliamentary connexions with Latvia Kamran Bayramov welcomed the guests before telling them of the significance of the bipartite co-operation, preservation of the mutual relations rooted in history and the part played in their progress by the state leaders’ reciprocal visits.
A Meeting Held in Preparation for PACE Summer Session
The Milli Majlis Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe held a meeting on 8 June by way of preparing for the summer session of the PACE.
Azerbaijani-Turkish Parliamentary Relations are Expanding
The leader of the Milli Majlis Working Group for the interparliamentary connexions Azerbaijan-Turkey Ahliman Amiraslanov leaves for Ankara on 7 June. Along with him will go the WG members Eldar Ibrahimov, Malahat Ibrahimghizi, Fazil Mustafa, Eldar Guliyev, Ramin Mammadov, Agalar Valiyev and Sattar Mehbaliyev.
